We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to answer your questions, schedule visits and take care of you and your family. We do not sell your personal information.
01Who we are
Toof Family Dental ("Toof," "we," "us" or "our") is a friendly family dental practice for kids and adults. We are a mobile practice that comes to our patients' locations in Catonsville, Ellicott City, Arbutus, Halethorpe and the surrounding Baltimore County, Maryland area.
This policy covers information collected through this website and through the calls, texts and emails that come from it. By using this website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a contact or appointment request form, call us, text us or email us, you may share:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The address or town where you would like us to come for a visit
- The reason for your visit and any message or details you choose to include
- Your communication preferences, including whether you agree to receive text messages
Please keep website messages brief. Our website forms are for scheduling and general questions. Please do not include detailed medical or dental history, insurance numbers or other sensitive health details in a form or text. We will collect what we need securely once you are our patient.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, some information is collected automatically by our website platform and analytics tools, such as:
- Your IP address, browser type, device type and general location (city or region)
- Pages you view, how long you stay, and the website or ad that brought you here
- Whether you clicked a phone number, button or link
Call and text records
Our phone and texting system keeps basic records of calls and messages, such as the phone number, date, time, length of a call and the content of text messages, so we can follow up and keep track of your requests.
03How we use your information
- To answer your questions and respond to appointment requests
- To schedule, confirm and remind you about visits, including where and when we will arrive
- To send follow-up messages related to your care or your request
- To send occasional updates or offers, only if you have agreed to receive them
- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it
- To protect our website and business, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations
04Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts (for example, by checking a consent box on a website form or texting us first), Toof Family Dental may send you text messages about your request, appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders and follow-ups. If you separately agree to marketing messages, we may also send occasional offers or updates.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (443) 374-7683.
Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of receiving care or making a purchase.
- After you reply STOP, we will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You can opt back in by texting START or by contacting us.
- Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone except the service providers that help us send messages.
05Phone calls and email
Phone calls
Calls to our number are handled through a business phone platform that logs call details so we can return missed calls and keep track of requests. Maryland law requires consent from everyone on a call before it is recorded. If a call is ever recorded, we will let you know at the start of the call.
If you email us or give us your email address, we will use it to reply and to send information related to your request or visit. If you agree to receive email updates, every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.
08Patient health information
Once you become a patient, your dental and health records are protected under federal law (HIPAA) and Maryland law. How we use and protect that information is described in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which we provide to patients and which you may request at any time by calling (443) 374-7683.
This website Privacy Policy covers general website, form, call, text and email information. If the two ever differ for your patient records, the Notice of Privacy Practices applies.
09Keeping your information safe
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we limit access to people and providers who need it. No website, internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires us to keep it, and then we delete or securely dispose of it.
